DNS Authentication Work Order

These records must be completed from the DNS control panel and the selected email provider’s admin panel. Exact MX, SPF include, and DKIM values must come from the provider; placeholders below must not be pasted as final records.

Email Protocol
DNS Layer
Purpose
Operational Rule
MX
Receives email for the domain.
Use the exact MX servers and priority values provided by the selected mailbox provider.
SPF
Authorizes permitted sending servers.
v=spf1 include:[MAIL_PROVIDER_SPF_INCLUDE] -all Replace the bracketed value with the provider’s exact SPF include.
DKIM
Adds cryptographic sender verification.
Generate DKIM from the email provider panel and publish the provided TXT or CNAME record.
DMARC
Defines domain-level handling and reporting policy.
v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:protocol@caucasusaffairs.org; adkim=s; aspf=s; fo=1 Start with monitoring, then strengthen later after testing.
SMTP
Allows WordPress to send official mail properly.
Use authenticated SMTP with an official mailbox after DNS authentication is completed.
Sender Rule

No personal sender identity

Government-facing messages should be sent from official domain accounts, not generic personal mailboxes, whenever possible.

Signature Rule

Consistent signature block

All outgoing official messages should use the same identity line: Caucasus Affairs, policy cooperation and strategic briefings, led under the executive direction of Prof. Dr. Bilal Semih Bozdemir.

Security Rule

No sensitive attachments first

The first message should link to public pages or offer controlled review. Restricted records should be sent only after the reviewer and purpose are clear.

Important operational note:
This page is a readiness and control page. DNS records are not created by this website. Mailboxes must be created in the chosen mail provider panel, and DNS records must be entered in the active DNS zone for caucasusaffairs.org. Placeholders in this page are instructions, not final DNS values.
